Immensity Of The Territory

In residency at Avatar from August 4 to August 14, 2016, Immensity Of The Territory presents excerpts from their trip on Thursday, August 11, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in our offices.
Both the name of a collective and a work, Immensity Of The Territory is a project that started back in 2008, produced by Le Studio d’en Haut. Following two road trips in 2008 and 2013, the project took various directions, with a concert, a show and an exhibit.
This summer, the three French artists Charles-Henry Beneteau, Christophe Havard and Anthony Taillard completed a 3-week trip. Taking off in Montréal, they traveled in a loop for over 9,000 km to the Northern United States and back to Québec, their final destination. The trio is working in our studios to sort out their audiovisual recordings from this third trip. Their suitcases are filled with 45 hours of video sequences and over 300 audio files. At the “5 to 7”, they will be presenting audio and visual excerpts that will become material for their next show.
